The view of Crater Lake from the top of Mount Scott is spectacular.
Hikers can enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of the lake and the
surrounding countryside.
When Mount Mazama erupted 7,000 years ago, the top 5,000 feet of the mountain was blown
away. This resulted in a five mile wide lake, ringed by cliffs that
are approximately 2000 feet high.
