The Astoria Column was built in 1926 and patterned after Trajan's Column
in Rome, Italy. The murals on the Column illustrate the history of the Astoria
area. Visitors can climb the 125 foot column and enjoy a
wonderful view of the Columbia River and the north coast of Oregon.
